Lisa Wurzrainer

Lisa Wurzrainer has been in the adventure travel industry for nearly 30 years. Prior to joining the expedition travel world, she earned her B.A. in Political Science from Colorado College and a M.A. in International Studies from the University of Washington.

Her shipboard and operational experience began in 1993 and she has been traveling the world ever since. She has worked both in the office in expedition operations and in the field on board a variety of expedition vessels. She has worked in over 100 countries and on all seven continents, in a variety of roles including; Cruise Director, Expedition Leader, Assistant Expedition Leader and Tour Manager; primarily on board small passenger expedition vessels. Lisa has excellent organizational skills and is always laser focused on the guest experience and how to make it the most authentic, rewarding and enjoyable travel experience possible. She meets the unexpected and adversity with calm and humor and thrives on multi-tasking. She believes that travel is critical to fostering a global mentality, greater understanding of our world and compassion for our fellow inhabitants.

In her free time, she narrates and produces audio books with a preference to books about travel and food. She loves, hiking, biking, skiing, swimming and pretty much anything that can be done in the great outdoors.
