
Jason Matthews
Jason began his career working in wild places in Glacier National Park in 1995. Since then he’s worked in Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Gates of the Arctic, and Denali National Parks, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and numerous other wilderness areas and wildlife refuges across Alaska and the American West.
Jason is a certified Master Naturalist with special interests of grizzly bears, wolves and wolverines. He has worked as a wildlife technician, park ranger, naturalist, outfitter, guide, and videographer. As an instructor he’s worked at Montana State University/ Bozeman, and for the Voyager Outward Bound School / Ely, MN. He’s been a National Geographic grant recipient for both brown bear and polar bear projects, and is a Fellow of The Explorer’s Club, and the Royal Geographical Society. He currently works for Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, and lives on a farm near Norris, Montana with his wife, two sons, and their sleds dogs and horses.My upcoming expeditions
