Jared Funderburk
Jared grew up in the Carolinas with a passion for exploring the natural world. He has always felt most at home in the great outdoors, and there is nothing he enjoys more than sharing these experiences with others. His enthusiasm is contagious and being able to help others have similar experiences through his work, is nothing short of a dream come true.
In the past, he has worked as an Interpretive Park ranger at Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve and taught in public schools for 5 years. Jared has a master’s degree in teaching, and a BA in history, and geography. Being able to combine his love of nature, and helping educate others, has become the perfect fit.
Between contracts, he enjoys personal travel, cycling, hiking, beekeeping, and also has owned and operated a BBQ Catering business since 2003. His interests vary widely, and it is evident that he enjoys being a steward of the environment.
