Caitlin Bailey
As a National Geographic Explorer, Caitlin was the inaugural participant in the Second Assistant Program, which has now given mentorship opportunities to hundreds of early career photographers. She received a grant from the National Geographic Society to document the Texas Horned Lizard Reintroduction Project at San Antonio Zoo, which has successfully released the reptiles in places they had disappeared. She was also a participant in the National Geographic Field Ready Program where she received training and mentorship on broadcast natural history programs. She is currently part of the National Geographic Pristine Seas media team. Caitlin is a board member of the Ocean Media Institute, a partner photographer and filmmaker with Girls Who Click, and is active in the Wildlife Cinematography Diversity Fund community. She is also a member of the Emerging League at the International League of Conservation Photographers, the North American Nature Photographers Association, and the International Association of Wildlife Filmmakers. When not traveling, Caitlin enjoys hiking with her dog and exploring her family ranch in West Texas.
