Beverly Klock

As a resident of the Columbia Gorge for the past 24 years, Beverly has studied first hand the beauty, botany and natural history of this splendid area. Being a secondary teacher for many years and an environmental educator, she has led many small groups in the Gorge and elsewhere in Oregon. She and her husband, Clair, have also farmed in the western end of the Columbia Gorge and birded all over Oregon. A background in history kindles her interest in the Lewis and Clark saga with a particular interest in Botany and native plants. She has degrees from Portland State U. and Oregon State University. Beverly is recently retired from Oregon State University Extension Service and now volunteers as a docent for the Oregon Symphony and as an instructor of Naturescaping classes. At home, she enjoys her greenhouse and gardening, working the berry farm and reading.
