Becky Timbers
Becky Timbers was born and raised in Vermont, where she spent her childhood exploring the outdoors and enjoying country life. She is fortunate to have parents who love to travel, so at an early age, she was bitten by the travel bug and subsequently spent five months in New Zealand and a year in Kenya through study abroad programs.
Becky graduated from St. Lawrence University in upstate New York in 2007 with a degree in environmental studies and biology and, unsure of her next move, bought a one-way ticket to Hawaii. While looking through a National Geographic magazine on the island of Kauai, she saw an ad for Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic and a few months later she was flying to Baja, Mexico to begin a 6-month steward contract aboard the National Geographic Sea Lion.
Becky is a dedicated yogi and she seeks to follow a lifestyle that blends personal wellness with adventure and freedom. She loves helping others and her eagerness to connect with people on a deeper level, led her to the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage in British Columbia where she spent five months studying anatomy, learning new massage techniques, and deepening her yoga practice. Now Becky has returned as a wellness specialist. On her time off, she plans on doing a lot of mountain biking, getting her yoga teacher training certificate and Scuba dive certificate and traveling to all corners of the world.
