Becca Maxey
Becca was born and raised in the Endless Mountains region of Northeastern Pennsylvania, where her love for the great outdoors flourished. From camping trips with friends to endless summer days spent at the family cabin, it was evident that she wanted to immerse herself in outdoor activities.
This opportunity allowed Becca to share her knowledge and educate guests about the many remarkable places around the globe. Her ongoing experiences have fueled her passion for a career in education while incorporating incredible expeditions. Becca values teaching others about the unique places, cultures, and wildlife that shape each area's narrative, and she particularly enjoys the physical activity that comes with it. One of her favorite aspects of her job is encouraging guests to step outside their comfort zones—whether it’s kissing a banana slug, trying sea asparagus for the first time, or kayaking after years away from the water. The joy in their reactions always brings a smile to her face.
Over the past 12 years, Becca has had the privilege of learning from and being inspired by her colleagues. She dedicated time to earn her USCG-100 GRT Master's License and trained to become a Wilderness EMT while also acquiring skills in logistics, hospitality, and management. For Becca, any time spent on the water is her favorite, especially when marine mammals are around.
