Alberto Montaudon
Alberto fell in love with nature as a young child. Born and raised in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, His father taught him from a very early age to understand, love, and respect nature. Due to his upbringing, Alberto became a biologist, decided to follow his passion and became a naturalist. At age 21, Alberto began working with Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic. Since then, he has been sharing interests that range from bird biology to undersea exploration and wildlife photography with thousands of guests.
Alberto has lived for long periods of time in the Caribbean's Yucatan Peninsula, the cloud forest of Veracruz, the temperate rain forest of Haines, Alaska, and the state of Colima, in Mexico. Alberto and his wife volunteer in bird of prey rehabilitation and practice the ancient sport of falconry.
Alberto received his Photo Instructor certification in a multi-day training workshop. Developed and taught by National Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions photographers, the workshop helped him develop additional insight and skills necessary to help you better understand your camera and the basics of composition to better capture the moments at the heart of your expedition.
